All of our holiday prices are negotiated, so you can guarantee that you’ll get great value for money on your Mekong river cruise.
You can cruise the Mekong year-round but the best time to travel on it is during the winter from November to February, when temperatures are cooler and the rainy season has passed.
Despite the wet weather, the Mekong’s wet season, which is between May and October, is the prime period for a river cruise in this region. The temperatures are highest during these months, as are river levels, giving cruise ships access to places you would usually have to visit via coach in the dry season.
Stretching over 4,350 km long from China to Vietnam, the Mekong is the seventh longest river in Asia, passing through six countries, including Thailand, Cambodia and Burma. With such a great diversity of culture rich cities situated along the course of the Mekong River, a Mekong river cruise is a great way to visit some of the best destinations that Asia has to offer.
See the distinctive culture and astounding natural environment of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Hanoi is home to more cultural sites than any other city in Vietnam, with over 600 extraordinary temples and pagoda, captivating 20th century architecture and the breathtaking Hoan Kiem Lake all to see within its borders. However, there is much more to see in Vietnam beyond Hanoi, including the towering skyscrapers and French colonial landmarks of Ho Chi Minh City.
Explore the friendly, bustling city of Phnom Penh - the capital of Cambodia. Here, you’ll find Silver Pagoda, the lavish King’s Palace and numerous museums containing both remarkable and poignant exhibits and artifacts. When in Cambodia, ensure you visit the astonishing Angkor Wat: a temple complex in Siem Reap which is one of the largest religious monuments in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
